It is imperative that pet professionals remember that a death ends a life; it doesn’t end a relationship. This workshop will provide you with some tips to help you help your client with that most difficult day when they end their pet’s suffering. Topics include information on pre-euthanasia appointment best practices, setting up the ideal comfort room, after procedure and follow-up suggestions, as well as staff care.
As caring pet professionals, you frequently will put the needs of others before yourself. This can lead to compassion fatigue and burn-out. This workshop provides information on the symptoms of compassion fatigue vs. burn-out and things that you can do to care for yourself. Relaxation exercises are provided and practiced.
All workshops are 45 minutes in length and provide additional time for Q&A.
